Al-Caliph started the game cautiously with a lone striker, Tyrus. We played it simple and pumped the ball to opponent half fast. This was the first time that we met "The Charlieons" therefore judging from the appearance, they look fit and fast. In the first half we had not hold much of the ball, instead our players simply hacked the ball to the opponent half and pressure them into committing mistakes.
Soon it was the half time and the score was 0-0. We continued our assault and broke the deadlock from a corner kick. It was Shy whom headed in the goal. On came Jeff, and he scored from another corner kick taken by Bob. Supersub Jeff. Its was a clinical, powerful header. Now the score was 2-0. An ex-player from our team, Zhaf was playing on the opponent team. His play was cut out by our tireless midfielder, Z & Bob. Our midfielders were running riot, creating chances one after another but all came to waste. But I must say that this time around, our team had a very good fighting spirit and players like Shawifi were improving over each game.
Jeff unfortunately lost his cool and received a yellow card for arguing with the REF. He was later sub out to cool off. On the whole, our defenders did a good job keeping a clean sheet. Midfielders gave opponent a hard time and our new forward, Tyrus run effortlessly causing chaos for the opponent. great job guyz. Final Whistle 2-0 to Al-Caliph. Cheers.
