Like told in DC Comics, the legion of heroes will somehow prevail. Validus and his fatal five knew that.
Z gave us the lead through his quick thinking by simply concentrating on the game.
Unfortunately, our desire to LOOK at the ball and not attacking it led to the equaliser. Same goes with their second goal. How on earth that went in is unexplained.
Yet, we kept on fighting and got our equaliser. Thanks to faisal for not giving up, what to most, would be a lost cause. Simply because he was fit and had one agenda, TO GET TO THE BALL.
Same was said of the captain. He got the ball and dogged on it till its into the net. He had an exemplary game as he was biting everywhere. Very rare compliment.
The final goal came at the death. Z was again instrumental. He had intercepted the ball and went pass two defenders. He could have gone for glory but he chose to pass instead. It was very rare to see the team so overjoyed and rallied at the player who assist rather than the scorer.
Hence, Z was awarded the MOM for being instrumental to the team winning performance today. His play epitomises my call for selflessness, simplicity and a warrior. Not heroes.
