The game started tentative as we tried something new. As the game got on, Al-Caliph got into stride and was awarded with a penalty. Zamri scored from the spot. However, the opponent manage to score as defence were unable to clear the ball effectively. It was 1-1 at the interval.
In the second half, we played our usual game and manage to squeeze a goal through Tyrus and Fahmie rounded off the day with a good goal. We had our chances however we couldnt make them count. Have to do better next time.
Dinesh has shown a great spirit and dedication to the cause. He is really coming of age and getting more polished. Dinesh is certainly pushing himself out of the squad member and knocking for a place in the first eleven.
Tyrus had an excellent game. I had initially marked to replace him certain time during the game. However his positioning and support play changed my mind. If he had been more calm and lethal, he would have made more and scored more. My observation was supported by a neutral observer during the game who says that he was excellent and was an unpolished gem. I agree.
