Al-Caliph maintain their good form at the start of the league by winning their second game of the league overcoming Bangkit Catharans 3-1. It was a lopsided affair to say the least. Unfortunately, we were unable to trot up the scoreboard with several missed chances.
Overall, the game was casual considering that it was a league game. Yet, our passes were astray. And our poor decision making is still a bane. Plenty of times, if we had taken a second to look, we would have made a better pass. At times our organisation was lost but we did fall back into our position soon.
I was glad with the number of players that arrived. The quality that we had was excellent. I was able to freshen things up and ensure that team runs well during the game. Be reminded that 7 more has yet to play. Hence I have yet to see what they can offer to the team. Men of the Match The team unaminously selected Kennard and Anuar to be men of the match for the game. Kennard was playing for the first time in the team and showed his strength and decisivenesss He lead his charges with sharp and crisp instructions. A leader during the game.
Anuar had a better performance. He listened to instructions and met every ball instantly. Even when he got hold of the ball and fell, he made sure the ball doesnt spill out of his hands. Such performance will translate to a more confident play throughout the team.
Sponsor Visit The team had a visit by our sponsors, Mr Dino and Mr Usop. I can safely say that they were very happy with our performance. I was even much more happier that the team had displayed top discipline on the field.
