The words that flew out of my mouth when I saw my wife the moment I got back. I hugged my kids tightly like tiny tots and wrestled my mother in law (father in law not home). What a beautiful day it was. A dream came true.
Just effective. Very effective. The passes, the decisions, the running, the spaces, the tackles, the pressure. We did it all. Mind you it was a smaller field under searing heat with much able opponent.
Now all we need is to upgrade our efficiency. I have got Zamri, Zj, Cina, Deva and Doc maintaining at about 90% efficiency. Managed to get Khai to push his efficiency to about 80%. Bob and Shahril had similar rating. However, Omar has dipped to 60% - back to the games before last where he had 80%. There was a change in tacts for him in the last 3 games. I will see if a reversal will push him back up. It is a waste to have him perform at low efficiency. The rest has maintained between 50-70%.
This is the second leg. One game is down and 2 or 3 games to go for me to get optimal performance and contribution from everyone for the final push. Worthy of Mention Today was a day that Khai showed that he can do it. He was without doubt my man of the match simply because he listened and put it into action. And on his own admission, he was surprised at his change in play and that he was very happy today. Not only he bring team mates into the game, he got his hattrick once again with couple of assists. Work for the team, and the team will work for you.
Bob was awesome in midfield. You guys observed how he got the balls off the opponent over and over again without even a single tackle?
Shy. Man what can I say about this guy. If I remember correctly, he saved 5 goal bound efforts most of which at opponent's feet. No fear. Absolutely hantu. Such contribution lift up the team. Thats my cousin.

There so much joy and everyone was in high spirits. For everyone efforts, we were able to let everyone play - including coach.

Stain No matter how good the game went, no matter how high spirited it felt for the rest of the weekend or maybe the week, the massive win still couldnt gloss over the stain.
Bul shouldnt have headed the ball into the net. Zj had worked his socks off to get into the position, fought off physically with a defender, then was able to hook the ball over the keeper who also had physically went into him. Ive confirmed with Zj that it was goal bound. Worse, the goal was not even awarded.
There is selfishness in the game and we are striving to minimise or cut it all off. This is beyond selfishness. Its robbery. Its like Drogba insisting on taking the penalty from Lampard when the team should have come first irrespective of whether he was gunning for the Golden Boot. Work for the team, and the team will work for you. And he duly got his reward.
We must cut these out. Its unfortunate that I couldnt put Bul's action into any perspective of law. This is more of ethics. Maybe under code of conduct. In future I will hold an inquest and mete necessary action.
Discipline Despite the minor glitch, we are having a good run of discipline. Mr Dino said "The boys are disciplined." after watching the team wearing the black tees he made and doing proper warm-up on our own accord. Thumbs up!
